60 students graduate Arabic course

Some 60 students have passed the Bhera DMG Arabic Learning Course this year. The course helps students develop reading, writing and speaking Arabic skills, opening up the possibility of future study and employment in the Middle East and North Africa.

The graduates and their teachers recently celebrated at a ceremony at Bhera DMG.

The course covers not just Quranic Arabic, but the modern language. Students are taught grammar, encouraged to develop a strong vocabulary, and given practice at speaking Arabic with other students.

Muhammad Salahuddin Chishti, a student attending the ceremony, said the course had given him critical language skills.

“I have enjoyed every moment of this course. It has allowed me to speak and understand the language better. Usually in BA/MA Arabic courses we cover Quranic Arabic and understand the depth of grammar. However, this course has improved my understanding of modern Arabic. Alhamdulillah, now I can understand and communicate in Arabic,” he said.
