The blessed month of Ramadan is here once again, and at ZUF our focus this year is to support as many boys and girls in their education and Hifz of the Quran.
If you educate a man you educate an individual, but if you educate a woman you educate an entire nation!
To run our educational project for thousands of girls and boys, on average, it cost us £360,000 every year. This Ramadan we need your support to continue and expand this life-changing education.
When you invest in educating a woman, not only does she benefit from what she learns, but as she goes on to form a vital pillar of society – be it in the lives of her family, children and the local and wider community – she becomes a beacon of hope for future generations, dispersing whatever knowledge she possesses to those around her!
Can you imagine the reward of supporting the education of a young woman in this blessed month of Ramadan?
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “When a man dies, his deeds come to an end except for three things: Sadaqah Jariyah (ceaseless charity); a knowledge which is beneficial, or a virtuous descendant who prays for him (for the deceased).” [Muslim].
Every year, we help hundreds of students memorise the Quran, including a high number of girls who are enrolled at our schools. A testament of the high-quality education we provide is the incredible track record of our alumni who not only give back to society, but become true representatives of Islam in whatever area they choose to pursue – whether it be setting up schools, working for ZUF as heads of our schools and institutes, and pursuing further education to become academics.
What better way is there to reap the rewards of this month of the Quran by sponsoring the hifz of our female students at Ghousia girls college, Bhera and paving the way for the next generation of inspiring and proactive Muslimahs.
